The Configuration Module is an admin-only interface. It must be set up before end users can begin creating or renaming assets through ANA. All configuration settings are accessed from the admin panel within the ANA application at app.audienz.ai.
Assets Configuration
Control which Marketo asset types are available for creation through ANA. For each connected Marketo instance, administrators can enable or disable the following asset types:
- Emails
- Forms
- Landing Pages
- Programs
- Campaigns
Only enabled asset types will appear in the Assets Module for end users.
Categories
Categories form the building blocks of asset names. When an end user creates an asset, they fill out category fields and the system auto-generates the standardized name from those values.
Category Types
Three category types are available:
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Textbox | Free text entry — the user types a value directly |
| Date | Date selection field |
| Picklist | Dropdown with predefined values — can be populated manually, via CSV upload, or exported from Marketo |
Adding a Category
When adding a new category, configure the following properties:
| Property | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Display name for the category |
| Value Type | Textbox, Date, or Picklist |
| Sequence | Display order in the final asset name |
| Required | Whether the category must be filled to create the asset |
| Exclude from Name | If enabled, the category value is captured but not included in the generated asset name |
Picklist Management
Picklist categories support multiple ways to populate values:
- Manual entry — Add values one at a time directly in the admin interface
- CSV upload — Bulk import values from a CSV file
- Export — Export current picklist values for backup or review
Tokens
Tokens are configurable values applied exclusively to Program assets. When a program is created through ANA, token values are populated automatically and visible in Marketo’s My Tokens section.
Token Types
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Text | Free text value |
| Date | Date value |
| Picklist | Dropdown selection from predefined values |
| Asset ID | Auto-generated unique identifier — no user input required |
| Email Script | Admin-defined email script token |
Each token has a sequence number that determines its display order during asset creation.
Rules
Rules control the structure of generated asset names. The following options are available:
Separator Character
Choose the character that divides category values in the final asset name (e.g., underscore _, hyphen -, pipe |).
Append Options
Optionally append identifiers to the end of every generated asset name:
- Asset ID — A unique auto-generated identifier
- Epoch Time — A timestamp in epoch format
- Both — Asset ID followed by epoch time
Category-to-Asset Mapping
Define which categories apply to which asset types. Different asset types can use different subsets of your categories, allowing tailored naming conventions per asset type.
CDO Configuration
Map system categories and business categories to Custom Data Object (CDO) fields in Marketo for extended analytics and reporting. System categories include:
- Asset ID
- Asset Name
- Asset Type
- Asset Folder
- Creation Date
Business categories (those defined in the Categories section above) can also be mapped to CDO fields, enabling downstream reporting on naming taxonomy values.
Miscellaneous Settings
Additional configuration options available to administrators:
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Asset Tagging | Toggle to enable or disable automatic tagging of assets |
| Character Restrictions | Define which characters are allowed or disallowed in asset names |
| Suggested Name Length | Set the recommended maximum length for generated asset names |
| Default Email Parameters | Configure default email parameters per workspace |
| UTM Parameters | Configure UTM parameter templates and default values for email assets |
| Salesforce Sync | Configure settings for syncing Marketo programs to Salesforce campaigns |
