The Create/Rename function in the Assets Module is the primary way marketers interact with ANA. This page covers the workflow for creating new assets with enforced naming conventions.
Creating a New Asset
Follow these steps to create a new asset with ANA:
1. Select Asset Type
Click Create/Rename from the Assets Module and choose the type of asset you want to create:
- Form
- Landing Page
- Program
- Campaign
2. Select Workspace
Choose the Marketo workspace where the asset will be created.
3. Clone from Template or Asset (Optional)
Optionally select a configured asset to use as a starting point:
- Clone from Template — Clone from an Email Template for consistent design
- Clone from Asset — Clone from an existing Email or other asset to replicate its structure
4. Fill Category Fields
Complete the category fields configured by your administrator. As you fill in each field, ANA auto-generates the standardized asset name based on the configured naming rules, separators, and sequence order.
5. Select Destination Folder
Choose the Marketo folder where the new asset will be stored.
6. Review and Create
Review the generated asset name, confirm all fields are correct, and click Create. The asset is created in Marketo with the properly formatted name.
Additional Options During Creation
Add UTM Parameters to Emails
When creating email assets, you can attach pre-configured UTM parameters to URLs within the email. Select the UTM parameters, choose which links to apply them to, and ANA ensures consistent UTM taxonomy across all your email campaigns.
Program Tags
When creating Programs, select tag values defined by the administrator in Marketo. Available tag types include Default, Email, Engagement, and Event.
Tokens in Programs
Configure tokens exclusively for Program assets during creation. Asset ID tokens are auto-generated, and all tokens become visible in Marketo’s My Tokens section for the created program.
Clone as New
Use the Clone as New feature to reuse an existing asset as a reference. Category values and tokens from the original asset are preserved and pre-filled, allowing quick duplication with proper naming applied.
Sync to Salesforce
After creating a Marketo program, you can sync it directly to a Salesforce campaign. This creates a corresponding campaign in Salesforce with the proper naming and metadata.
Recently Created Assets
The Recently Created Assets view displays all assets created through ANA across all users. From this view you can quickly access any recently created asset and rename it if needed.
