Submitting Self-Review
After all required checks have a result (Pass, Fail, or Warning), you can submit your self-review.
- Verify that all required checks are complete. Optional checks do not need to be completed.
- Click Submit Self-Review in the workflow action bar.
- Optionally add notes.
- Confirm the submission.
After self-review:
- All check results are locked — you cannot change pass/fail answers.
- If peer review is required (configured in QA Settings), the run moves to "Awaiting Peer Review" status.
- If peer review is not required, the run is marked "Complete".
Important: The self-reviewer must be the same user who initiated the run. A different user cannot submit the self-review.
Peer Review
When peer review is required, a second user reviews the QA results and either approves or flags issues.
To complete a peer review:
- Open the QA run from the dashboard (the run will show status "Peer Review").
- Review all check results — automated results with details, semi-auto results with the builder's confirmation, manual results with the builder's pass/fail and notes.
- Choose one of two actions:
- Approve — Click Approve to mark the run as complete. All results are accepted.
- Flag issues — Select specific checks to flag and add a note explaining the issue. Click Submit Flags.
Important: The peer reviewer must be a different user than the person who initiated the run and submitted the self-review.
What Happens After Flagging
When a peer reviewer flags issues:
- The run status changes to "Flagged" (Changes Requested).
- The flagged checks are highlighted with the peer reviewer's notes.
- The original builder can re-run QA to address the flagged issues.
The combination of self-review and peer review provides a clear audit trail of who reviewed what, when they reviewed it, and what was approved or rejected.
