What happens when App Cloud app steps are included in synced assets?
Transporter Sync doesn't support Eloqua App Cloud apps. When you sync campaigns or programs that contain App Cloud app steps, those steps will appear blank in your target instance — only the step name will display.
To complete the asset, you'll need to log into your target instance and manually edit or re-add those steps.
Note: Cloud Content within landing pages, emails, and shared content isn't supported by Transporter Sync. You'll need to manually add or edit these elements in your target instance.
What happens when I re-sync an asset?
When you re-sync an asset, you'll see one of two outcomes:
- No changes detected: If the source asset hasn't been modified since the last sync, you'll see a message saying "Asset is already synced."
- Changes detected: If the source asset has been modified, the sync process will start and update your target asset with the source version.
Note: Any modifications you've made to the target asset will be overwritten by the source version during re-sync. Re-sync only updates the parent asset — child assets won't be updated automatically and will only be created if they don't exist in the target. You'll need to sync child assets individually if they need updates.
How does folder structure work in Transporter Sync?
Transporter Sync maintains your source folder structure when syncing assets:
- Matching folders found: If Sync finds a matching folder name in your target instance, it creates the asset in that folder
- No matching folders: If no matching folder exists, Transporter Sync creates a new folder with the source folder name and places the asset inside
The complete source folder hierarchy is preserved during sync. For example, if your asset is nested four levels deep from the root folder and that same structure doesn't exist in your target instance, Transporter Sync will create all necessary parent folders with the same names.
If two levels of the folder structure already exist in your target, only the missing levels will be created. This applies to all synced assets — both parent and child assets.
