Connections

Link Agent Studio to your Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce, or Workfront account so agents can work there for you.

A connection is a saved link between Agent Studio and one of your marketing accounts (for example, your production Eloqua). You can rename it, see whether it is working, and choose which one is your default. Your login details are stored securely and are never shown again after you save them.

You can connect Oracle Eloqua (you sign in to Eloqua and approve access), Adobe Marketo Engage, Salesforce, and Adobe Workfront; HubSpot is listed as coming soon. You can keep multiple connections (for example production and sandbox); agents start on the connection marked default, and you can switch with the connection picker above the chat box.

Why you need one

Without an active default connection, agents that need Eloqua or Marketo cannot run. Home and the agent workspaces will show a message asking you to set up a connection first.

Add an Eloqua connection
Open Connections
In Agent Studio, go to Connections.
Connect Eloqua
On the Eloqua card choose Add connection, then Add connection again on the instances page. Give it a clear name (for example “Acme Prod”) and choose Authorize. Sign in with an Eloqua user that can grant the integration access.
Confirm the connection is active
After you approve access in Eloqua, you return to Agent Studio and the connection appears in the list with status Connected. Your first connection becomes the default automatically.
Set the default
If you have more than one connection, use Set default on the one agents should start on. You can still switch connection in an agent with the picker above the chat box.
Test (optional)
Use Test from the actions menu to verify Agent Studio can reach Eloqua with the stored credentials.

Marketo, Salesforce, and Workfront use the same Add connection entry but ask you to enter connection details instead of signing in. For Marketo you need a Client ID and a Client Secret (like a username and password for the connection) and two web addresses, called the REST endpoint and the Identity endpoint. Your Marketo admin can give you all four. You can test the details before saving.

Manage connections
ActionWhat it does
EditUpdate the display name for your team.
Set defaultMakes this the connection agents use. Clears default on the previous one.
ReauthorizeSign in again (or re-enter your connection details) when the connection stops working or someone removed its access.
TestChecks right now that Agent Studio can reach the platform. You see Pass or Fail on the card.
Map usersWorkfront only: match Workfront users to Agent Studio members.
DeleteRemoves the connection and the login details saved for it. If it is the default and other active connections exist, set another default first.
Your login details stay private. Passwords and access keys are stored securely, and nobody (including you) can view or download them after you save. To replace them, use Reauthorize.
