Asset Sync

Copy Eloqua assets and their child assets from one instance to another, with a preview and your approval before anything is written.

Supported MAPEloqua

Open Asset Sync from Home or go to /agents/asset-sync. You work in a chat + panel workspace: ask in chat to sync an asset by name, or use the panel to search the source, preview the child-first plan, and apply it. The panel also has a Dashboard of past runs.

Asset Sync copies from one Eloqua connection (the source) into another (the destination). Deploy options and reference mappings are configured in Asset Sync settings.

Configuring sync? Admins set deploy options, duplicate handling, and reference mappings per target instance under Asset Sync settings (/settings/agents/asset-sync in the product).

Add the Supademo link for this agent (see ASSET-CHECKLIST.md in the docs repo).
Before you start
  • Two active Eloqua connections: the source you copy from and the destination you copy into
  • Optional: deploy options and reference mappings for that destination, set by an admin (see settings)
  • Landing pages: a microsite mapping for the destination before landing pages can be created there
Sync an asset
Open Asset Sync
From Home, choose Asset Sync, or open /agents/asset-sync.
Set the Sync route
In the Sync route bar, pick the Source and the Destination. They must be different instances. The destination is remembered for that source, and the bar shows Ready to sync once both are set.
Pick an asset
Open the Sync tab, choose an Asset type, and start typing a name to search the source. Pick one result. Or ask in chat, for example “sync the Welcome email”.
Review the preview
Asset Sync reads the asset and every child asset it uses, then matches each one in the destination by name and folder. The summary shows how many assets are in the plan, how many will be written, and how many are reused. Open Review the full plan to see the child-first tree. Nothing is written yet.
Approve and apply
Click Sync now in the Sync tab, or Apply on the preview card in chat. Child assets are written first, then the parent, so references resolve. The plan is checked again against the destination as it is at that moment.
Check the results
The result shows how many writes succeeded, with created, updated, reused, and failed counts. Open What synced for each asset. Past runs appear on the Dashboard.

What the preview tells you
LabelMeaning
createNo asset with that name exists in the matching destination folder. A new one is created.
updateThe asset you picked already exists in the destination. It is updated, following the duplicate handling rule set by your admin.
reuseA child asset already exists in the destination. It is linked to and left untouched.
already syncedThe asset was synced before and has not changed in the source since. Nothing to write.
blocked / missing in sourceA child asset cannot be copied yet, or could not be read in the source (deleted, archived, or restricted). Sync stays off until you fix it and preview again.
Supported asset types
StatusAsset types
Syncable nowPicklist, Email, Landing Page, Form, Email Group, Email Header, Email Footer, Dynamic Content, Field Merge, Signature Rule, Image, File Storage, Segment, Shared Filter, Contact Field, Account Field, Lead Scoring, Contact View, Custom Object, Campaign
Preview onlyProgram. You can search and preview it, and it can be copied as a child asset of a Campaign, but it cannot be synced on its own yet.
Chat and the Sync tab share one plan. Ask in chat and the preview card appears in the conversation and in the side panel. Apply is offered only on the most recent preview. Past chats stay in the history rail, and New chat starts a fresh one.
Nothing is written without your approval. Every run needs a preview first and an explicit click to apply. Asset Sync never deletes anything in either instance, never overwrites a reused child asset, will not pick between two destination assets with the same name in one folder, and will not update an Active campaign in the destination.
Dashboard

The Dashboard tab summarizes applied runs for a period you pick (Today, 7 days, 15 days, 30 days, or Custom): assets synced, runs, failed writes, success rate, activity over time, outcomes, reliability by target instance, recurring failure reasons, and Recent runs, which you can expand to see what each run wrote.
